Teaching Meta-cognition

This online workshop introduces classroom-ready MetaCognition models, strategies and resources to support teachers in their explicit teaching of cognitive processes in their classrooms across all learning areas, and stages of development.

MetaCognition is for understanding and capitalising on one’s own cognitive strengths. It involves knowledge about when and how to apply chosen strategies for learning challenges or for problem solving. Increasing awareness of one’s own thinking leads to better management, reflection and self-efficacy.
